Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level role in our Lexington salon offers hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Ensure pet safety, report sick/injured pets, and maintain salon/store cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.
- Participate in Belonging culture and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, wet/hairy environments, and animal handling.
