Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Lincoln store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean salon environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or via phone.
• Recommend wellness solutions, sell merchandise/services, and ensure pet safety—transporting sick pets to vets as needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments while fostering a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet environments, pet hair, noise, and live animals. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier loads required.
