Role Overview
PetSmart’s Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, sharing store cleanliness duties and recommending wellness solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform independent bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, manage reservations and consultations.
- Ensure safe environment; address sick/injured pets immediately, including vet transport.
- Maintain cleanliness, sell merchandise/services, assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet-handling comfort, customer service skills, computer proficiency, organizational detail, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to wet/hair-filled areas and moderate noise. Flexible scheduling essential (evenings, weekends, holidays).
