Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Los Lunas, NM store, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering professional bath and brush services while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience, customer interaction, and opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full-service baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, and consultations; recommend health solutions.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and drive sales.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Comfort with pets, wet environments, and moderate noise essential.
