Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Louisville, KY location, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering professional bath and brush services while upholding PetSmart's vision for pet safety and satisfaction. Share responsibility for store cleanliness and recommend wellness solutions. This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling and development paths in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform full bath/brush services independently.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or by phone.
- Execute nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Monitor pet health, take action on sick/injured animals, and ensure a safe salon environment.
- Maintain cleanliness, sell merchandise/services, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, and comfort with pets. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand for shifts, work evenings/weekends/holidays, and thrive in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment with moderate noise and wet conditions. Proficiency in computers and composure under pressure essential.
