Role Overview

The Pet Bather role is perfect for animal lovers seeking entry-level opportunities in pet retail. You'll deliver professional bathing services, engage pet parents, and maintain salon excellence while ensuring safety and cleanliness. This position offers flexibility, hands-on pet care, and pathways to grooming or leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart's Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full-service baths, brush-outs, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, and consultations with pet parents.
• Recommend wellness products and services based on pet needs.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as needed.
• Ensure safe environments, responding immediately to sick/injured pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand for shifts, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Passion for pets, attention to safety, and customer focus are essential.

Physical Demands & Environment

Expect moderate noise, wet conditions, pet hair exposure, and animal handling. Requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs (team lifts over 100 lbs), bending, and depth perception.
