Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and store support in a dynamic retail environment with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet/hairy conditions with depth perception required. Flexible for evenings, weekends, holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training; perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, phone inquiries.
- Recommend wellness solutions, sell merchandise/services.
- Ensure safe environment; act on sick/injured pets, transport to vet.
- Maintain cleanliness; assist other departments; follow policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Seek pet enthusiasts with computer proficiency, pressure-handling, organization, detail-oriented safety focus, and strong communication. Passion for pets and customer service essential.
