Role Overview
PetSmart’s Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail environment, with opportunities to advance in grooming and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions/merchandise.
- Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as needed.
- Follow all policies while participating in our recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – passion for pets is key! Successful candidates demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in wet/noisy environments with animals.
