Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Mesquite store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean environment. Ideal for animal lovers with flexible schedules ready to thrive in a fast-paced pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide wellness recommendations.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured animals, and transport to vets as needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
- Drive sales through merchandise and service upsells while following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Seeking candidates proficient in computers, with strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include handling pets in wet, noisy environments with pet hair exposure.
