Role Overview

The Pet Bather role delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level position involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, working in wet/hairy conditions, and exposure to moderate noise and live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or by phone.
• Ensure safe environments; respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet.
• Maintain cleanliness, recommend products/services, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Passion for pets and flexibility are key.
