Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level role in our Milton store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and contributing to a positive store environment amid a dynamic, pet-filled workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services independently.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, manage reservations, and ensure positive experiences.
- Monitor pet health, take immediate action for sick/injured animals including vet transport, and maintain safe environments.
- Recommend wellness solutions, sell merchandise/services, and keep salon/store clean.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in our culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet passion, customer service skills, computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, organizational detail-orientation, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, noisy, pet-hair-filled environment with live animals.
