Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This entry-level role involves bathing, brushing, and add-on services while upholding safety, cleanliness, and our core values. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or via phone.
• Ensure pet safety, identify sick/injured pets, and coordinate vet transport if needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend wellness products/solutions.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and working in wet, noisy environments with live animals.
