Role Overview

As a Pet Bather in our New Iberia, Louisiana location, you'll deliver exceptional salon services while engaging pet parents. This entry-level role emphasizes pet safety, customer satisfaction, and upholding PetSmart's vision through professional bathing and grooming services in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full menu of bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per company standards.
• Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
• Ensure safe environment; identify and act on sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
• Maintain store cleanliness, recommend products/services, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise and live animal exposure. Excellent communication and composure under pressure essential.
