Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Norfolk, Virginia salon, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering top-tier bath services while upholding PetSmart's vision. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and recommending solutions. This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling and pathways to advance in pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Independently perform baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services.
- Ensure safe environments; transport sick/injured pets to vets as needed.
- Recommend merchandise/services and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet-handling passion, computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise and live animals.
