Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Oakville store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
- Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
- Monitor pet health, act on emergencies, and ensure safe salon operations.
- Recommend products/services and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, wet environment with moderate noise.
