Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Okemos store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions/merchandise.
• Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet if needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as required.
• Uphold company policies while fostering a positive, inclusive environment.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking extensively, working in wet/noisy conditions with live animals, and climbing ladders. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier loads needed.
