Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Oshawa store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean environment. Full-time flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet/hairy environments with moderate-high noise, handle live animals, climb ladders, and perform repetitive tasks. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out, answer questions.
- Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services.
- Ensure safe environment; transport sick/injured pets to vet as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet passion, computer proficiency, pressure-handling composure, organizational detail-orientation, and strong communication. Physical stamina for pet handling essential.
