Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Ottawa, Ontario location involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and store support in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
- Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
- Identify and address sick/injured pets, ensuring safe transport if needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, recommend products, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, wet/hairy environments, and animal handling.
