Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Ottawa, Ontario location involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in a wet, pet-hair-filled space with moderate to high noise and live animal exposure. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
• Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out procedures.
• Recommend wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services.
• Ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers; handle sick pets immediately.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills
