Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This entry-level role involves bathing, grooming basics, customer engagement, safety maintenance, and store support in a dynamic pet retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential amid moderate noise, wet conditions, pet hair, and lifting up to 50lbs (team lifts over 100lbs).
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification; perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, questions via phone/in-person/register.
- Ensure pet safety; act on sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed.
- Maintain cleanliness; recommend wellness solutions and merchandise.
- Assist other departments; follow policies and embrace recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates offer pet passion, customer service prowess, organizational detail, pressure composure, communication skills, and computer proficiency. Physical demands include standing, lifting, reaching, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet space.
