Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Pickering store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate to high noise. Depth perception and animal handling are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services per standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and sales.
- Recommend wellness solutions and sell merchandise.
- Ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers; act on sick pets immediately.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Passion for pets and flexibility are must-haves.
