Role Overview

The Pet Bather role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll deliver professional bathing services, engage pet parents, and uphold top safety standards. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in pet care, customer service, and salon operations, with paths to advancement in grooming or management.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full-service baths, brush-outs, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-ins/outs, reservations, and consultations in-person or by phone.
• Monitor pet health, take action on sick/injured animals, and ensure a safe salon environment.
• Recommend products/services, maintain cleanliness, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, and excellent communication are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, stooping, and working in a wet, pet-filled environment.
