Role Overview

As a Pet Bather in our Pittsburgh, PA location, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering exceptional salon services while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail environment, with opportunities to advance in pet grooming and retail leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
• Handle check-in/out, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
• Recommend health/wellness products and services based on pet needs.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers.
• Identify and act on sick/injured pets, transporting to vet as needed.
• Assist other departments and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, and excellent communication are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet environments, pet hair, and moderate noise.
