Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Plantation store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or via phone.
• Recommend health/wellness products and services based on pet needs; sell merchandise.
• Monitor pet safety, respond to sick/injured animals by transporting to vet if required.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hairy environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals.
