Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Plattsburgh, NY location, you'll engage pet parents and their furry companions, delivering exceptional salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision of pet safety, wellness, and joy. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in pet care with room to advance your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide pet parent consultations.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and ensure a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
- Recommend health/wellness products and assist across departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, and working in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise and wetness.
