Role Overview

Our Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Prosper store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or by phone.
• Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets, and transport to vet as needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend wellness products/services.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking extensively, working in wet/hairy environments with moderate-to-high noise and live animals. Excellent communication is key for pet parent interactions.
