Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and store support in a dynamic retail environment. Ideal for animal lovers seeking meaningful work with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or via phone.
• Recommend health/wellness products and services based on pet needs; sell merchandise.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and a safe environment for pets, associates, and customers.
• Identify and act on sick/injured pets, transporting to vet as required; assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Seeking entry-level candidates with pet passion, computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include wet/hairy environments and moderate noise.
