Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment in a dynamic retail setting with live animals and moderate noise.

Essential Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions, climb ladders, stoop/kneel. Depth perception required; occasional mechanical parts exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
• Greet pet parents, manage check-in/out, reservations, answer questions via phone/in-person/register.
• Recommend wellness solutions, sell merchandise/services based on pet needs.
• Ensure safety for pets/associates/parents; act on sick/injured pets, transport to vet.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness; assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet passion, computer proficiency, pressure-handling composure, flexible scheduling, organizational detail-orientation, and strong communication. Participate in Belonging culture and follow policies.
