Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail environment, with opportunities to advance in pet grooming and retail leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage check-in/out, reservations, and provide personalized recommendations.
- Ensure salon/store cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Upsell merchandise/services and assist across departments as needed.
- Participate in Belonging culture and adhere to all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet-handling passion, customer service skills, computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled setting with moderate noise and wet conditions.
