Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our San Antonio store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment amid a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide wellness recommendations.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet, and maintain salon/store cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise/services, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals.
