Role Overview

As a Pet Bather in our San Diego, CA location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive salon experiences while upholding PetSmart’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and recommending solutions. Do what you love—make a meaningful impact daily, from fresh grooms to smiling pet parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Handle pet parent interactions: greet, answer questions, manage reservations, check-in/out.
• Independently perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
• Ensure safe environment; act on sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, recommend/sell merchandise/services, assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Entry-level role requiring proficiency in computer applications, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings, weekends, holidays), strong organization, attention to detail/safety, and communication skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet environments, pet hair, noise, and live animals. Depth perception required.
