Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our San Jose salon involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean environment. Ideal for animal lovers seeking meaningful work with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend health/wellness solutions.
• Ensure pet safety, report issues, and transport to vet if needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as required.
• Drive sales through merchandise/service recommendations.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Success demands pet-handling comfort, customer service prowess, organizational skills, communication, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, wet/hairy environments, and moderate noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
