Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our San Juan, Puerto Rico location, you'll deliver exceptional salon services, engage pet parents, and maintain a safe, clean environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience with opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent interactions in-person or by phone.
- Ensure pet safety, report and transport sick/injured pets as needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend health/wellness products.
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, wet environment with moderate noise and live animal exposure. Depth perception and composure under pressure essential.
