Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This entry-level role involves bathing, brushing, and add-on services while maintaining salon standards, safety, and cleanliness in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full menu of bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or via phone.
- Ensure pet safety, report sick/injured pets, and transport to vet if needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend wellness products/services.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, pet-handling comfort, organizational prowess, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in wet, noisy environments with animals.
