Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Santa Barbara, CA location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering salon services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and more. Uphold PetSmart’s vision while ensuring pet safety, store cleanliness, and exceptional customer experiences. This entry-level role offers flexibility and growth in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
- Perform full menu of bath services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services.
- Maintain safety for pets, associates, and customers; respond to sick pets.
- Keep salon/store clean and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a wet, pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
