Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet care experience in a supportive environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in wet/hairy conditions, and navigate moderate-to-high noise. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing per standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-in/out, and recommend wellness solutions.
- Ensure safe environment; transport sick pets to vet if needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
- Follow policies, participate in Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, safety focus, and strong communication. Passion for pets is key.
