Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level role in our Sherwood Park store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and contributing to a positive store environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate-to-high noise and live animal exposure. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver full bath/brush services per PetSmart standards; handle check-ins/outs and reservations; ensure pet safety and report issues; recommend products; maintain cleanliness; assist other departments; participate in Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—complete our Splash training. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Passion for pets is key.
