Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety/cleanliness standards. This entry-level role in our Sierra Vista salon involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and contributing to a positive store environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic, pet-filled workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or via phone.
• Ensure pet safety, report sick/injured pets, and transport to vet if needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and recommend wellness products/services.
• Assist other departments and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments, moderate-high noise, and live animal handling. Depth perception and team lifting for heavier loads required.
