Role Overview

The Pet Bather role delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level position involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ideal for animal lovers seeking meaningful work with physical demands including lifting up to 50lbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per standards.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
• Ensure safe environments; transport sick pets to vets as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and recommend health/wellness products.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Success demands pet-handling comfort, customer service prowess, organizational skills, communication, and composure under pressure. Physical abilities include standing, lifting 50+ lbs (team lifts for heavier), and working in wet, noisy settings with animals.
