Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and store support in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential amid moderate noise, wet conditions, pet hair, and lifting up to 50lbs (team lifts over 100lbs).
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training; perform baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing per standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle reservations, check-in/out, answer questions.
- Recommend health/wellness solutions and merchandise; ensure safe pet environment.
- Report and transport sick/injured pets; maintain salon/store cleanliness.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet passion, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational detail-orientation, and strong communication. Physical demands include standing, lifting, reaching, stooping in a pet-filled setting.
