Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and store support in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential amid moderate noise, wet conditions, pet hair, and lifting up to 50lbs (team lifts over 100lbs).

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations.
• Perform baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
• Identify and address sick/injured pets, transporting to vets as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, recommend wellness solutions, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates excel in pet handling, customer service, organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include standing, lifting, stooping, and exposure to animals/mechanical parts. Computer proficiency supports register and booking tasks.
