Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our St Catharines store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible hours and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide wellness recommendations.
• Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured animals by transporting to vets as needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
• Follow all policies, participate in Belonging culture, and sell merchandise/services.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), work in wet/hairy environments with moderate-high noise and live animals. Depth perception required; accommodations available.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Seeking proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Passion for pets essential.
