Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our St. John's store involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per company standards.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person or by phone.
• Identify and address sick/injured pets, transporting to vets as needed.
• Recommend health/wellness products and services while ensuring store cleanliness.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates demonstrate pet affinity, customer service prowess, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking extensively, and working in wet, noisy environments with live animals.
