Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and store support in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential amid moderate noise, wet conditions, pet hair, and lifting up to 50lbs (team lifts over 100lbs).

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and phone inquiries.
• Recommend wellness solutions, sell merchandise/services, and ensure pet safety—transport sick pets to vet as needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
• Follow all policies, participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include standing, lifting, reaching, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet space. Depth perception and animal handling exposure common.
