Role Overview

PetSmart’s Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean salon environment in our Sterling store. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding work with evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification to perform bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide wellness recommendations.
• Ensure pet safety, report sick/injured animals, and transport to vet if needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments as required.
• Drive sales through merchandise and service upsells while fostering positive experiences.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Success demands pet-handling comfort, customer service prowess, organizational skills, communication, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet/hairy environments, moderate-high noise, and live animals. Flexible scheduling essential.
