Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and maintains safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and store support in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Essential Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in wet, pet-hair-filled areas with moderate to high noise and live animal exposure. Depth perception required; accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and safety certification.
• Perform full bath/brush, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per standards.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person/phone/register.
• Identify and transport sick/injured pets to vet; ensure associate/pet/parent safety.
• Maintain store cleanliness, recommend solutions, sell merchandise/services.
• Assist other departments and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet passion, computer proficiency, pressure-handling composure, organizational detail-orientation, and strong communication. Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and animal handling essential.
