Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional grooming services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care in a dynamic salon environment, sharing store responsibilities, and recommending wellness solutions. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible, impactful work.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle reservations, check-ins/outs, and provide outstanding service in-person and via phone.
• Maintain pet safety, report issues, and transport sick pets to vets as needed.
• Recommend products/services, ensure salon/store cleanliness, and assist other departments.
• Follow all policies, participate in recognition culture, and contribute to a positive environment.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Successful candidates demonstrate pet affinity, customer focus, organizational skills, communication prowess, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking extensively, and working in wet, noisy settings with live animals. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
