Role Overview
PetSmart’s Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean salon environment in a fast-paced retail setting. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible hours and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and provide wellness recommendations.
- Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured pets, and transport to vets as needed.
- Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
- Drive sales through merchandise and service upsells while following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Must have computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to wet environments, pet hair, noise, and live animals. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
