Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Toronto, Ontario location involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and store support in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Splash training and safety certification.
- Handle pet parent interactions, reservations, check-in/out procedures.
- Perform bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure pet safety, assist other departments.
- Respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet passion, computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, wet/hairy environments, moderate-high noise, and animal handling. Depth perception and team lifting essential.
