Role Overview

The Pet Bather role is the foundation of our grooming salons, delivering exceptional bath and brush services while ensuring pet safety and parent satisfaction. This entry-level position offers hands-on pet care experience in a dynamic retail environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-ins/outs, and provide personalized wellness recommendations.
• Maintain a safe, clean salon environment and take immediate action for sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
• Upsell merchandise/services and assist across store departments as needed.
• Complete mandatory Splash training and safety certification.

Experience & Skills

No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in wet, pet-filled environments with moderate noise.
